Mehrotra has been called the most exciting modern Indian chef in the world today. Corporate chef to Indian Accent New Delhi, London and New York, his path-breaking approach to Indian cuisine reinterprets nostalgic Indian dishes with global techniques and influences.
Having started his career in Mumbai as part of Ananda Solomon’s team at the Thai Pavilion of the Taj Hotels, Mehrotra joined the Old World Hospitality group in 2000. There he floored guests at Oriental Octopus with his culinary skills and charm. He has spent eighteen years with Old World Hospitality, opening several restaurants while travelling the world.
Mehrotra is passionate about his craft, and has become known for his meticulous attention to the origins of ingredients. An enthusiastic reader, he has a collection of more than 1200 cookbooks from across the globe.
